چکیده

Rotation-induced time-odd components in the nuclear mean field are analyzed using the Hartree-Fock cranking approach with effective interactions SIII, SkM*, and SkP. Identical dynamical moments J (2) are obtained for pairs of superdeformed bands 151 Tb(2)– 152 Dy(1) and 150 Gd(2)– 151 Tb(1). The corresponding relative alignments strongly depend on which time-odd mean-field terms are taken into account in the Hartree-Fock equations.

Time-odd Components in the Rotating Mean Field and Identical Bands

A systematic construction of the energy-density functional within the local density approximation is presented. The Hartree-Fock equations corresponding to such a functional are solved in case of rotating superde-formed nuclei. The identical bands in 152 Dy, 151 Tb, and 150 Gd are investigated and the time-odd components in the rotating mean field are analyzed.

Relativistic Mean Field Description of Nuclear Collective Rotation −the Superdeformed Rotational Bands in the A∼60 Mass Region−

Relativistic Mean Field Theory is applied to the description of rotating nuclei. Since the previous formulation of Munich group was based on a special relativistic transformation property of the spinor fields, we reformulate in a fully covariant manner using tetrad formalism. The numerical calculations are performed for 3 zinc isotopes, including the newly discovered superdeformed band in Zn wh...

A pr 1 99 6 KUNS 1385 Onset of Rotational Damping in Superdeformed Nuclei

We discuss damping of the collective rotational motion in A ∼ 150 superdeformed nuclei by means of a shell model combining the cranked Nilsson mean-filed and the surface-delta two-body residual force. It is shown that, because of the shell structure associated with the superdeformed mean-field, onset energy of the rotational damping becomes Ex ∼ 2 − 3 MeV above yrast line, which is much higher ...

Cranked Relativistic Hartree - Bogoliubov Theory : Formalism and Application to the Superdeformed Bands in the A ∼ 190 region

Cranked Relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory without and with approximate particle number projection by means of the Lipkin-Nogami method is presented in detail as an extension of Relativistic Mean Field theory with pairing correlations to the rotating frame. Pairing correlations are taken into account by a finite range two-body force of Gogny type. The applicability of this theory to the des...
